"Kanon" ... where did the name come from?
"The way Kanon came along....is that when they put together the scriptures in the Bible, they were Kanonized, which means there was a standard by which the scriptures must be placed in the Bible. Kanon means standard or ruling of something. So we say we want to be the standard by which christian music should be looked upon. Not to say we are the best...but to say our standards and our desire for music is simply for the glory of God, and nothing else." --Heyward
